NYWC 2020 | It’s Time To Be Together Again

May 12th, 2020

If the last few months have taught us anything, it is that we have a deeply felt need for community. And while online church services, streaming youth groups and Zoom calls with small-group leaders are currently the “new normal” … the significance of physical presence has never been greater. Our whole society is longing to be Together Again.

When we picked the theme for National Youth Workers Convention 2020, there was no way we could predict a global pandemic rippling through the world. We couldn’t anticipate this much physical division–just in an effort to stop its spread. And while we’re definitely not out of the woods yet, we know we will get through this, and soon be Together Again.

Just how soon will that happen?

We don’t know–but November 2020 seems like the perfect time to start (literally) embracing each other again.

As a team, we have been reflecting on what NYWC will look like this year. These times are unprecedented, the future is unknown, and that makes it incredibly difficult to know what we can and should do. What we do know is this: It is now more important than ever to be together.

We are working our hardest to be together in Columbus this fall for NYWC. We have incredible plans for again gathering together in person. But just in case, we’re also prepared for a partial or fully virtual gathering.

We can guarantee you this…

NYWC is happening in 2020! There are already more than 2,000 youth workers registered for the event–it’s going to be a party!

Plan to be together with us this November in Columbus. We can’t wait for you to join us. Registration opens Monday, May 18.

If you haven’t already registered, now is the time! Look for info this week on the blog or keep an eye out for your email about some offers you can take advantage of if you register on May 18.

We want to leave you with a verse that has been on our hearts as we move forward. Now more than ever, this passage has taken on a new meaning. We hope it encourages you in this season.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing,
but encouraging one another—and all the more as we see the day approaching.”  —Hebrews 10:25

We will get through this. We will be Together Again.
